Build your own custom wheels! This intensive, hands-on workshop will cover everything from choosing a lacing pattern, measuring spoke length, tensioning, de-stressing and finishing. You will end up with a high quality, durable wheel unlike anything you can buy off the shelf. Class will run on three consecutive Saturdays, Feb. 14 (yes, we know it’s Valentine’s Day), Feb. 21 and Feb 28 from 10 am to 1pm/

This class is limited to 4 participants. Please read important information below before registering.

  • Class tuition covers class time and instruction, and DOES NOT INCLUDE the cost of the components (rims, hubs and spokes)

  • If you do not already have compatible hubs and rims, you will need to select and order your components no later than two weeks before the start of the first session to ensure timely delivery. We will work with you on component selection. Components purchased through Cosmic Bikes qualify for a 10% discount off the regular retail price.
    We can work with a wide selection of components, including dynamo hubs and even electric hubs. If you are not sure, please reach out to us before registering.

  • If you have hubs and rims you want to use, please let us know before the start of class so we can ensure everything will work together as expected.

  • During the course of the class, we will provide all tools needed to complete the wheel build. If you wish to purchase tools for your home workshop, we will also extend a 10% discount to class participants.

  • We will measure, order and cut the spokes as part of the course.

  • The course as scheduled will allow for a single wheel build. However, if you’re building a pair, as part of the tuition, you can book additional time to lace and finish the second wheel.
